Community Action Center receives check

This fund was recently established to help those in need who struggle to purchase women’s products for their monthly cycle. One in four women in the United States cannot afford around $150 that is needed for their period products, and these items are not covered by SNAP benefits.

First English’s WELCA group has long been a supporter of the Community Action Center, and when it heard about this new initiative, that’s where it wanted to direct its dollar. The group encourages anyone with additional resources and a big heart to contribute to Faribault’s Community Action Center.

“They make a huge difference in Faribault by helping to provide food access, housing, and other needed resources for our neighbors who may be struggling,” the WELCA group said.
