Artist Registration - Open January 1, 2027

We invite all local artists and creatives to participate in Runway Revival — no formal fashion design experience required. The goal is simple: be creative and have fun!

New this year — a fresh addition to Runway Revival: Runway Revival will feature youth/student-designed pieces, highlighting the creativity of emerging artists. We are excited to welcome youth and student artists and designers to submit featured designs.

What we’re looking for:

  • Pieces designed to be worn again for everyday use
  • Pieces that make an artistic or environmental statement (not meant for everyday wear)
  • Designs inspired by this year’s theme – T.B.D.
  • Any combination of the above

Our planning committee is aiming for a dynamic mix of practical fashion and bold statement pieces. Using the theme is encouraged, but optional.

Because the proceeds from this fundraiser support the vital programs of CAC, your time and talent are truly a gift. Thank you to all of our Runway artists — your creativity makes this event possible!

Guidelines for initial submission:

  • Concept, rough sketch or proposed design (photos of similar designs accepted, but must be modified to reflect a unique idea)
  • 90% recycled, upcycled, or reused materials
  • Completed piece MUST be wearable and walkable on a runway.  (Design must not be wider that 3′ feet.  Model will need to be able to walk up and down small flight of stairs.)
  • Items can be clothing and/or accessories
  • Optional photo submission of previous work in any art medium

Please Note: Due to limited runway space and show timing, we are unable to feature every submission. Applying early is encouraged, as space is limited and selection is not guaranteed. An artist liaison will follow up in mid-April 2026.

Guidelines for approved submissions:

  • Title the piece
  • Describe the piece
  • List all the recycled/upcycled materials
  • Artist Statement: (Questions to consider: what drew you to these materials, this design, etc? Does it have a particular meaning for you? Is it making a statement?)
  • Artist must model their own work or provide a model for the show
  • Commitment to work with one of our artist consultants prior to approval for clarity and support of execution periodically leading up to event
  • Pieces must be completed and ready for show coordinators NO LATER than July 1st
  • Dress rehearsal week of August 12th

CAC’s vitality depends on the community — from volunteers to donations to program-specific support — so that we can continue to meet our neighbors’ basic needs.
