CAC serves nearly 16,000 INDIVIDUALS each year in the Rice County community with basic needs such as healthy food, emergency housing, sustainable employment, free clothing, recovery support, and more. Sponsoring Runway Revival and Operation Joy is an opportunity to support CAC’s mission and vital work of providing a healthy, caring, and just community for all.

In 2023, community volunteers launched a new fundraiser to support CAC’s efforts and created Runway Revival, a creative fashion show, which celebrates environmental sustainability through upcycled, wearable art pieces designed by local artists and community members. Not only a fundraiser for CAC, this event celebrates environmental sustainability and highlights the incredible efforts being made across our community to prevent waste from going into landfills. Our inaugural event sold out and was a smashing success for CAC! Your sponsorship supports this event and all proceeds are dedicated to fulfilling basic needs in our community.
Looking for an alternative opportunity to support CAC? We invite you to donate to our silent auction and raffle. We are seeking merchandise, gift certificates for restaurants, airline tickets/miles, getaways, experiences, sporting event tickets, and more. We request items for the auction to have a value of $50 or more. You can also support the silent auction with your artwork. Your generous donation will help raise funds for Community Action Center.
For decades, it has been CAC’s goal to do our part in spreading joy during the holiday season. Operation Joy has served families in the Northfield community since the 1970s, ensuring parents have the support and resources to provide a happy holiday experience for their children.
In 2024, over 500 FAMILIES participated in the program, and donations from community members were shared with over 1,000 CHILDREN.
As Operation Joy continues to evolve and grow with need, one aim remains strong – everyone feels the joy! Your sponsorship grants CAC the opportunity to present each child with:
- A Target gift card, which allows families to choose the just-right gift for their child
- A new book, carefully selected and donated by Content Bookstore with financial support from their customers
- A family blanket, lovingly sewn by local volunteers
