Northfield Works Offers Scholarships to Support Career Certification and Training

Using MN DEED grant funding, the Community Action Center of Northfield’s community job partnership program, Northfield Works, is helping individuals enhance their job skills through critical resources.

Resources include things like hands-on training, language support, scholarships and other financial assistance.

Earn Certifications for a Career

Northfield Works has career scholarships to help prepare participants for success in a variety of fields.

Manufacturing, Construction, Information Technology

Experience innovative work in high-demand career areas, including:

  • Mechatronics
  • Welding
  • Carpenter
  • Electrician
  • Administrative Office Specialist

Education Careers

Have an impact as a:

  • Childhood Development Associate
  • Early Childhood Assistant
  • Paraprofessional
  • Teacher’s Aide or Teacher

Healthcare Careers

Start or advance your healthcare career by making a real difference as a:

  • Personal Care Attendant

Support for English Language Learners

Northfield Works provides support for English language learners. Our English instructor will help participants gain the speaking and writing skills needed for their futures. Free English classes to prepare for jobs include:

  • Beginning Workplace English
  • Advanced Workplace English
  • Healthcare English
  • College English Support
