On January 12, the CAC hosted Bridges Out of Poverty: Applying Bridges Concepts, a workshop that provided education on poverty reduction and introduced strategies that can be used to break down the barriers sustaining poverty. Attendees had insightful conversations that played off of speaker Jodi Pfarr’s anecdotes, tools and poverty reduction expertise.
Through ideas, activities and practical materials, the session helped 125 participants build the knowledge and skills needed to combat issues of poverty. Case study analyses allowed attendees to examine realistic lifecycles and perspectives in order to build effective communication.
“Our hope is that participants of the workshop left with a renewed sense of hope and ideas about how they can partner with the CAC to combat issues of poverty,” said CAC Executive Director, Jim Blaha.
