The ceramics students at Carleton hosted the Empty Bowls event on May 13. The students of Juliane Shibata provided ceramics bowls that diners could fill with a variety of homemade soups accompanied by bread and fruit. Proceeds from the event are donated to the food shelf. See our facebook page for photos of the event.
On May 14 local postal employees conducted their “Stamp out Hunger” drive. Postal carriers collected thousands of pounds of food that has filled our warehouse.
Thanks to both the Carleton potters and local postal employees for their work on behalf of the CAC clients!
