Activity Scholarships
The Community Action Center can assist low-income families with participation fees for youth athletics, day camps, and other enrichment programs. The Community Action Center also assists organizations award their own scholarship funds to participating families.
Camp Scholarships
With a grant from the Pohlad Family Foundation, the Community Action Center provides summer camp scholarships for youth ages 8-15. Families who qualify for a residential camp scholarship choose from any residential camp belonging to the American Camping Association. The scholarships are available primarily for first-time campers.
Ronald McDonald Care Mobile
The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile comes to the Community Action Center on the first Wednesday of each month. The Care Mobile provides young people, ages 21 and younger, with dental exams, cleaning, x-rays and restorative care. Patients needing more extensive care are referred to low-cost clinics in the Twin Cities.
