Income and Residency Guidelines

In order to receive services from the Community Action Center, you must live within the Northfield school district (which includes Northfield, Castle Rock, Dennison, Dundas and Webster) and meet the following income guidelines.

All Services — gross monthly income (200% of poverty guideline by household size)

1 person — $1,980; 2 people —  $2,670; 3 people — $3,360; 4 people — $4,050;  5 people — $4,740; 6 people — $5,430; 7 people — $6,122; 8 people — $6,815; 9 people — $7,508 and 10 people — $8,202

Section 8 Rental Assistance — gross monthly income (by household size)

1 person — $2,200; 2 people — $2,513; 3 people — $2,825; 4 people — $3,138; 5 people — $3,392; 6 people — $3,642; 7 people — $3,892; 8 people $4,142; 9 people $4,393 and 10 people — $4,644.

Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS) — gross monthly income (by household size) – Call 507.664.3550 for income guidelines.

To be eligible for participation in the Community Action Auto Recycling (C.A.A.R.) program you must:

Be a Community Action Center-certified client or be eligible for certification (see above);
Not have reliable transportation options;
Need a vehicle for work or school or for a serious medical need;
Have the financial means to pay for insurance;
Not be able to afford to buy a car for yourself;
Be able to pay for the title transfer fee and registration tab fees (if renewal is needed);
Have a valid driver’s license.
