Operation Joy 2023

OPERATION JOY REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED – REGISTER FOR WAITLIST

Operation Joy has served families in the Northfield community since the 1970s. Each year, nearly 400 families participate in the program, and donations from community members are shared with upwards of 1000 children.

Our goal is to provide each child with:

  • A Target gift card, which allows families to choose that just-right gift for their child
  • A new book, selected and donated by Content Bookstore with financial support from their customers
  • A  family blanket, lovingly sewn by local volunteers

Operation Joy 2023 will be held on Wednesday, December 6, at Community Action Center.

Register for Operation Joy

Operation Joy is a program available to Northfield families with children ages infant through 18 years old needing additional support from the community this holiday season.  Registration is due Friday, November 17. After that registrations will be held on a waitlist.

You will receive a postcard in the mail confirming your time closer to the day of the event. Please bring this postcard with you to your scheduled Operation Joy time slot.

If you have questions regarding registration, please contact CAC at 507.664.3550 for more information.

If you live outside of Northfield, you can apply for Toys for Tots, which serves all of Rice County. Registration is open now through November 30.

Share the Joy

Our goal is to provide a joyful holiday experience to all children in Northfield. At this time, the most impactful way our community can help us meet this goal is through monetary donations.

Donations will be used to purchase gift cards, which provide families the opportunity to select gifts their children will enjoy the most.

With a gift of $500 or more, businesses will be recognized on all event materials, including community posters, our Operation Joy webpage, Facebook posts, and a thank you in the Northfield News following the event.

Volunteers work all year long making quilts and fleece-tied blankets. Contact Lisa Percy if you are interested in helping at gro.retnecnoitcaytinummoc@asil.ycrep.

CAC uses Donorbox for our donation processing, ensuring that all transactions are completely secure. Donorbox does not retain any bank or card information as credit card data is encrypted and tokenized. Moreover, Donorbox is SSL/TLS secured and meets PCI compliance standards for additional protection.
