Feature

Donate

We are fortunate to have a caring community that is extraordinarily supportive of our mission and has a vested interest in seeing our area neighbors achieve self-sufficiency. If you’re not already contributing to the Community Action Center, please consider two gifts: an unrestricted monetary gift or a donation of goods.

>> Note: In order to make room for the food collected during the 2010 Minnesota FoodShare Drive, the Clothes Closet will not accept donations Monday, March 15–Monday, April 5, 2010. Donations will be accepted again beginning Tuesday, April 6, 2010

Monetary Gifts

Gifts of any amount, particularly unrestricted gifts, allow us to meet the ongoing needs of our clients. Through these gifts we’re able to purchase food for the Food Shelf and gifts for children who participate in Christmas Sharing, provide emergency transportation loans and help secure temporary housing for a family fleeing an abusive relationship.

In order to make giving a gift as easy as possible, we’re happy to offer several donation options.

1) Make a secure, online gift today using your credit card through GiveMN or Network for Good or by calling us at 507.664.3550.

2) Write out a check (payable to the Community Action Center) and drop it off at our office or send it to: 1651 Jefferson Parkway, Suite HS-200, Northfield MN 55057.

3) Consider a recurring gift by enrolling in our electronic transfer of funds giving program. We’ll automatically deduct a gift (monthly, quarterly, annually — you choose) of whatever amount you decide. For more information, contact Executive Director Jim Blaha at 507.664.3550.

4) Make a legacy gift. Including the Community Action Center in your will ensures support for the organization in the years to come. For more information, contact Executive Director Jim Blaha at 507.664.3550.

Thank you for your consideration. We sincerely appreciate your support, and your neighbors do, too.

Donation of Goods

The Community Action Center accepts food for the Food Shelf and household goods (including clothing and small appliances) for the Clothes Closet throughout the year.
